Last year, Althea released their first ever exclusive product - the Althea Petal Velvet Powder (which I already emptied! *sigh*), and earlier this year, this popular K-beauty and K-skincare online marketplace revealed their latest exclusive skincare line: the Althea Bare Essentials.
Althea's latest label addressess the common problems of many K-beauty fans. Probably most of us have heard about the 10-step Korean skincare routine but in reality, taking care of our skin shouldn't be a very complicated process. The three basic skincare routine is - cleanse, tone, and moisturize and this is what the current skincare line promotes.

Packed with soothing Ice Plant and detoxifying Lemon Myrtle extracts, this cleanser is densely filled with micro capsules that burst upon contact with water to gently cleanse, exfoliate, and detoxify skin. I am soooo in love with this cleanser! A pea-sized amount goes a long way. It is very foamy and has micro beads that helps cleanse and wash away dirt. I noticed that the Althea Bare Essentials Contour Cleanser quickly dried my pimples. I love the soft feel on the skin after using this cleanser. I haven't seen visible effects of the slimming part but I will update the blog after a month or two to see.

Both a hydrating toner and a primer in one, the Primer Water contains patented dewdrop technology (Macro Fluidic Dispersion technology) that gently fills the gaps between pores and allows hydration to penetrate deep within the layers of the skin. The mild floral scent of this cream made me love it more. I find myself indulged with this skincare now. Before I used to just cleanse and tone but it really feels incomplete now that I have tried using creams. A little amount also goes a long way so I think I can use the whole set for a couple of months.

I have been using this skincare set for almost a month now and I seriously can't believe that it helped improve my skin. I have tried several Korean skincare products to have a smooth skin but so far, the Althea Bare Essentials proved to be the best that I've tried. It didn't cause any allergic reaction after usage and I didn't get any acne or pimples as well. I can say that this skincare is superb for those who wants to be able to get out without makeup on.
Now who's excited with Althea's new releases within the year? I am praying that they will have a new full makeup line. It's going to be a dream come true for K-beauty enthusiasts like me.
The Bare Essentials range consists of three hypoallergenic products that are suitable for all skin types.
