I have only tried a few BB Cushions eversince they became a hit in the cosmetics industry. Aside from the face that it is quite expensive compared to regular BB foundations, I am confused how it works and how to actually use it. After trying all forms of BB/CC creams and foundations, – be it liquid, pressed, or powder – I realized why the BB Cushion is a game changer.
For today, let's do a quick review of the Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion (675php) and if it is worth keeping in my vanity kit.
Price: 675php
Available shades: Natural Light, Natural Medium
You can buy these at leading Robinsons Supermarkets and Department stores nationwide.
The Silkygirl Magic BB Cushion comes in a compact packaging that contains a puff and mirror inside. For me it is a bit bulky to bring but BB Cushions are made that way so I have no issue with it. It is sealed to ensure that the cushion is intact and doesn't spill.

What I think:
- As expected, cushions are quite expensive because of its features.
- I prefer using this than the cream ones because it is easier to control the amount of product that you apply.
- Unlike BB Creams, BB Cushions are easy to use and blend. A dab is enough to create a poreless look. Creams tend to have streaks when not blended properly.
- It has 2 shades that does differ and is suitable for Asian skin.
- Coverage is light to medium as expected for a cushion.
- Can last up to 6 hours all day without retouch.
- Doesn't make the face oily.
- Powder scent and easy to apply.
- Lightweight
- I like this BB Cushion better than the creams now.
- The cushion technology ensures that there is enough product to be applied.
