I don't have the perfect skin I wanted. To be honest, I am one of the many women who is struggling with acne. I have a very sensitive skin amd almost all products that I try tend to have negative reactions on my skin. One of the most common issue I have are blemishes. Of course, I tried using several products to cure my pimples but because of the dirt and pollution I encounter each day, acne keeps on coming back.
The best pimple killer I tried is the Alba Botanica Deep Pore Wash from Healthy Options. I tried using other pimple killer but to date, this is by far, the best until I tried St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Control.
My sister introduced me to this facial scrub and she said that it is very effective removing blemishes so I opted to get one and try for myself. I understand that what worked for her may not work for me.
The St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Control comes in different sizes but this one comes in a squeeze tube of 170g. It retails at 220php in Lazada and BeautyMNL but is also available at leading supermarkets nationwide.
Infused with 2 percent salicylic acid, the St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Control:
- gently cleans pores and fights acne-causing germs;
- sloughs away dead skin cells, dirt, and other impurities;
- leaves skin softer and smoother;
- formulated 100 percent naturally-derived exfoliants such as apricot, corn kernel meal, and walnut;
It is oil- and paraben-free and dermatologist-tested.
My thoughts
After using this facial scrub for 2 months, I can atest that it is indeed effective in killing pimples after wash. The St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Control isn't supposed to be a daily facial scrub because it tends to dry out the skin. I use it every other day. It has micro beads that help exfoliate the skin during usage. I love the mild citrus scent of this facial scrub as well. For the exfoliating and prevents blemishes parts of its claims, it does a perfect job. It kills pimples in an instant however for the pore minimizing component, I don't see a visble result.
I still love this product, though. It addressed my concern with acne so I am giving it 5 stars.
