It's my first time to be a Sample VIP member. Do I find this membership worth it? Did I like what's inside?
When Sample Room was introduced to me in 2014, I don't see the sense of being a VIP member. How can you get the samples for free if you have to pay for extra points? I wasn't willing to shell out money just to get more points before. But when they featured the Burt's Bees lip balms, and Happy Skin lipsticks, I immediately subscribed to the VIP membership. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the Happy Skin lipsticks, it was sold out immediately :(
I got the Burt's Bees lip gloss as a VIP gift. Did I like it or not?
I liked the gift. However, I was expecting a more presentable gift like the ones I saw from other bloggers. They got recyclable wooden boxes as storage, and here's what I got:
A paper bag full of shredded papers. I actually didn't find my gift ahead of time because it was under these papers. I just pulled it up for it to show on the photo, but I was so disappointed with this kind of presentation.
The paper bag was crumpled and in total review, I hate the packaging I received. I received the gift along with my other samples, and all samples were already outside the paper bag when I opened the courier pouch. Maybe the problem was with the courier because they didn't handle it with care. But seriously, my excitement to see the gift dropped when I opened the packages.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the lip gloss, but I hated the presentation. I just took a decent photo just to make it look nice, but seriously, I was very disappointed. I'm thinking if I should get another VIP membership when mine has expired.
